The EC-50 Pedestrian Bridge provides a seamless and accessible connection across Al Furousiya Street, linking Aspire Park, Hayat Plaza, Villaggio Mall, Imlaiha Street, and surrounding destinations. Conceived as a suspended bridge, the project enhances pedestrian and cyclist connectivity while contributing to the public realm.
The bridge features a suspended, organically shaped deck that extends a total length of 274m, creating a sense of lightness and fluidity. The design incorporates approach ramps on both sides of the crossing to facilitate safe and convenient cyclist movement.
The bridge is fully accessible and designed to accommodate a diverse range of users. The bridge incorporates lifts and stairs in accordance with capacity and dimensional requirements, ensuring access and comfortable circulation.
Flowing lines, and layered materials create a unique form that stands out, while integrated lighting and railings enhance comfort, and usability. Covering Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Disciplines, the design was coordinated with statutory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and ensure full regulatory compliance.
