Situated in the Motorsports Precinct in Qiddiya City, KSA the Iconic Cliff Loop is a 6.8 km permanent racetrack that encircles the Al-Tuwaiq Cliffs, leveraging the region’s dramatic topographical variations to create a technically demanding and visually striking motorsport experience. The track includes two cliff tunnels spanning over 1,260 meters, six underpasses, and 14 km of service roads that provide essential operational access while navigating steep terrain and complex site contours.
We were responsible for the infrastructure and services design as well as the construction supervision of the Iconic Cliff Loop, delivering comprehensive wet and dry utilities, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for permanent track-side structures, as well as an advanced street-lighting network and a fully integrated stormwater drainage system tailored to the challenging topography. These services were engineered to support safe and reliable operation for international motorsport events, while minimizing environmental impact.
The infrastructure design was carefully coordinated with the site’s steep cliffs, tunnels, and underpasses, ensuring operational flexibility, safe circulation, and maintenance access across the circuit. The complex engineering solutions underpin the functionality of the track and its supporting structures, enabling world-class racing and spectator operations. Following the design phase, we were awarded the Construction Supervision of the Racetrack. Given the complex terrain, our supervision works cover cliff stabilization measures, rockfall protection, slope monitoring, and the management of construction interfaces across the terrain.
