The Legtaifiya Metro Station is a key interchange within Qatar’s public transport network, providing a direct connection between the Doha Metro Red Line and the Lusail Tram system. The station serves as a high-capacity mobility hub that facilitates passenger movement and interchange in one of Qatar’s most active areas. As part of the ongoing development and enhancement of the station’s infrastructure, the project focused on key passenger, operational, and interface areas. The project components included the station’s main at-grade entrance, pop-up buildings housing ventilation, life-safety, power, and utility functions, and transition areas linking metro and Light Rail Transit systems.
We coordinated the Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing services to accommodate revised architectural and operational requirements. The scope included HVAC system redesign, smoke extraction provisions, fire protection systems, drainage networks, water supply systems, electrical distribution, earthing and bonding systems, lightning protection, and integration with existing station infrastructure. The design also incorporated utility connections for ancillary structures, supporting the continued functionality, safety, and resilience of the station.
